As humans, we are the sole species on this planet compelled to innovate and create. In addition to connecting and inspiring those around us, good art should be sustainable to protect our environment. The creative process at BEDI is driven by the onus of cleaning up and preserving our planet to fulfill our brand promise: ONE DAY EVERYTHING NEW WILL COME FROM SOMETHING OLD.

Materials that were once destined for landfill are meticulously researched, sourced and then crafted into objects that breathe a new life. Discarded leather from airplane seats and the furniture industry, seat belt webbing from local scrap yards in Montréal and robust fabric regenerated from discarded fishnets all come together to create our collections.
Years of research and development along with countless broken sewing needles have gone into the DNA of BEDI to provide one of the most advanced sustainable offerings in the world.
The result is a slow collection of precise and utilitarian designs with an inherent beauty in details of outerwear, bags and knits. Handmade in Canada and guaranteed for life (outerwear and bags) with a solution in place for once an item has reached the end of its present use.
BEDI was established in 2019 by Inder Bedi.
A career spanning 20 years in sustainable fashion, this offering grounded in elevated utility represents Inder's return to local craftsmanship in Canada with a focus on discarded materials on land and in our oceans. Design influences include Scandinavian and Japanese minimalist aesthetic, Dieter Rams 10 Principles of Design and all things OG.
